City of Rancho Palos Verdes November 2013 Single Family Real Estate Market Report

The real estate market in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes has been relatively active. The level of inventory of homes for sale of 77 homes at the end of November is up significantly over the last 10 months since decreasing to extremely low levels at the first of the year, with the average number of homes for sale now up about 17% compared to the end of November last year. The average number of homes sold per month over the last 3 months of 33 homes per month, is 3% lower than the comparable 3 month period last year.There are only 25 homes in escrow at the end of November. The average price of homes sold has been much lower than the average list price of homes, averaging $1.2 million over the last 3 months.This indicates that the lower priced homes are selling faster than the higher priced homes.
