I recently heard two different quotes that I thought were very inspiring.
Michael Josephson, in one of his commentaries on the radio the other day, said "The key to happiness is not getting more of what you want, but learning to enjoy what you have." I think that that sentence is extremely meaningful in our busy lives. So many of us chase after money and material goods, and after getting them often times we are left asking ourselves "Is that all there is?"
The second quote was by Abraham Lincoln who said " "A person is generally about as happy as he's willing to be."
As we celebrate Fathers Day, we should all remember that the most important thing in our lives is family and the love that we have for our parents, brothers and sisters, children, and other family members. True happiness comes from meaningful relationships, and not the acquisition of things. On this day, let us step back and truly appreciate all that we have in our lives.
