The Palos Verdes City Council has decided to delay any decision to rezone a property which The Palos Verdes Unified School District owns next to Palos Verdes High School as residential,. The School District requested the rezoning so that if the School District is successful in its lawsuit to remove current deed restrictions it may sell the property to developers. The deed covenants which restrict the usage of the land dates back to the original conveyance of the land to the School District from the Palos Verdes Homes Assoc. in 1938 , and state that the land can only be used for schools, parks, playgrounds or recreation areas
